Description

MICROFEN Microphen Concentrated developer FX-37 Photographers Developing Agents 2L

Attention! You will get chemical developers, not ready 1 liter liquid!

Concentrated developer FX-37 is designed specifically for TMax and Delta films, but also gives excellent results with other films. The developer allows you to obtain high-resolution images that are clearer than when processed with classic developers such as D-76, X-TOL, ST-2. When processed with this developer, the grain of the negative material will be noticeable, with sharp boundaries. The developer allows you to increase the sensitivity of the film by 2/3....1 ISO step. To obtain a working solution, the concentrate is diluted 4 to 10 times.

Concentrated developer FX-37 has the following composition:

Phenidon 0.5 g.

Developing agent 5.0 g.

Sodium sulfite used 69 g.

Sodium carbonate 5.0 g.

Kodalc 2.5 g.

Potassium bromide 0.5 g.

Benzotriazole 0.05 g.

Water, up to 1 l.

The developer is packaged in 3 bags. One contains phenidone with a small amount of sodium sulfite, the other contains the developing substance, and the third contains all the other substances. The developer solution is prepared in the following sequence: take a container marked 1 liter and pour 600 - 650 ml of distilled water into it, heated to a temperature of 45 - 50 degrees. Dissolve the contents of a large packet in it, which contains sodium sulfite, sodium carbonate, borax, benzotriazole and potassium bromide. Carefully crushing the lumps and stirring the solution until the contents of the package are completely dissolved. After all the reagents have dissolved, the contents of the middle bag containing the developing substance are poured into it. All lumps are thoroughly crushed, the solution is mixed and the developing substances are completely dissolved. The contents of a small package, which contains phenidone and a little sodium sulfite, are dissolved separately in 100 - 150 ml. hot (about 65 ° C) water and after complete dissolution of all substances, pour the resulting solution into the general one. Allow the resulting solution to cool to room temperature, after which the volume is adjusted to the 1 liter mark. Allow the developer to sit for 2-3 hours, after which it is filtered through cotton wool to separate the developer from insoluble substances that are always present in the developing substance. After filtering, the developer can be used.

Standard dilution of concentrate with water is 1 + 3.

Time of processing.

The film development time chart is the starting point for timing. Film processing times are based on the mixing procedure described above and are intended to produce negatives of normal contrast (typically 0.62 contrast ratio). If higher or lower contrast is required, the processing time of ILFORD films must be adjusted.
